Zoological

DGS is very proud to boast of their considerable experience in this unique and specialist area with the construction industry. We have for many years set the benchmark for others to follow. Our many years of experience in dealing with the vagaries required to complete individually unique exhibit facilities for the many and varied range of captive creatures, as well as providing the special services and facilities for their keepers that have to show and tend to them, have given us an expertise in zoological, aquarium and marine exhibits which we consider is second to none. Importantly, we are also acutely aware of the environmental needs.

Much of this experience with zoological exhibits has been gained through many years and many projects within the Taronga Zoological Park precinct. Projects ranging from seal pools, aviaries, caves, rivers and up to housing for large carnivores (bears, lions etc.) are included amongst general buildings for restaurants and amenities purposes.

Panda Bears Bicentennial Exhibit

With our wealth of zoological experience to the fore we were selected to construct the temporary display facility to house the amazing Panda Bears, which were sent out on loan from China for our 200 year celebration of Australians History, the Bicentennial. The Panda’s played and showed their amazing selves to packed galleries during their stay. The exhibit required many specialist areas of construction including holding rooms and moats to ensure their well being and safety. The exhibit also required external walkways and viewing platforms to allow the public good access for witnessing and for taking photos of these incredible creatures.
