Carlile Swim Centre, Norwest

Carlile’s landmark Learn to Swim indoor aquatic centre which provided two different size pools for learn-to-swim lessons and right up to elite athletes. From providing adequate parking to office areas to change rooms to the fully controlled air conditioning and ultimate water quality systems, this centre provides a warm, safe and comfortable environment for all spectators and participants alike.

Carlile Swim Centre, Killarney Heights

Carlile’s highest volume learn-to-swim centre was in desperate need of a make-over. “Down with the old structure and up with the new” was the cry as we marched into the 21st century! Re-vitalised pools (two) and new ultra-modern water filtration systems, updated air-conditioning plus heated floors to change rooms were all a part of the overall upgrade.

Carlile Swim Centre, Cherrybrook

A brand new state-of-the-art facility which provided two completely separate climate controlled indoor pool areas catering for both learn-to-swim & elite swim training. Parents can watch their toddlers take their first dip in the programme pool from the comfort of the viewing room or watch their aspiring champions churn up the water in the 25m training pool from the poolside, there is something for everyone.

Carlile Swim Centre, Castle Cove

One of the older Carlile complexes needing some TLC. While only some relatively minor yet important modifications to improve circulation, access for the disabled and sharpen up the overall appearance, the old centre is long forgotten!

Carlile Swim Centre, Ryde

Forbes & Ursula Carlile’s own and original learn-to-swim centre hadn’t changed much since the 1950’s…until now! New linings, fresh paint, air-conditioning, water filtration and swimming pool re-lining (soft vinyl) were among the most welcome features of this iconic swim centre.

Kings Swim & Childcare Centre – Macarthur Square

The King Swim group showed some ingenuity by putting a learn-to-swim centre and childcare facility underneath the existing shopping centre. Very practical access from the ground level carpark allows everyone to easily come and go all the while in a comfortable and safe atmosphere. Along with two specially design pools for learn-to-swim lessons the centre also included areas for offices and specialist physiotherapy along side the very modern Childcare facility.

Blaxland High School Basketball Centre

Another design & construct project which provided an indoor 2-court basketball stadium with mezzanine level spectator seating and full change room facilities. If only all schools could have a sports hall of like this!

Katoomba Sports & Aquatic Centre

This brand new facility incorporated an indoor 25 metre pool, spa and children’s’ pool all constructed next door to the existing outdoor 50m pool. Add a fully equipped gymnasium and multiple court sports hall with all the change and kiosk facilities necessary make this a really special public facility in the local community.

Manly Oval Grandstand & Clubhouse

Manly Council required to have the old clubhouse and tired concrete seating upgraded to incorporate a new covered grandstand, clubhouse, amenities and change rooms facilities. Look closely at the grandstand roof and you might see how a stingray inspired the structure.

Narellan Indoor Sports Centre

The Uniting Church asked us to Design & Construct a versatile centre that would cater for numerous sports. As so was developed a Fcaility that included Multiple sports courts catering from basketball to indoor cricket, with all the necessary parking, administration and cafeteria facilities to make this the complete sports centre in a rapidly expanding area. As well we included an external skate park area.

Penrith White Water Stadium

As a project completed specifically for the 2000 Olympics, the stadium provided all the necessary athlete’s (and the future public) requirements including boat storage, administration, café and change rooms, among other facilities and landscaping which took full advantage of the magnificent white water rafting course.

RSL War Veteran’s Retirement Village Hydrotherapy Pool

When the RSL required a new indoor Hydrotherapy pool they contact DGS. We delivery a small 20 metre pool which catered for the retirements villages needs to incorporate easy access, change rooms and climate controls.
