A strategic business decision was made many years ago to implement a formal Quality Assurance System, integrated with other management practices, as a means of achieving consistent and predictable delivery of products and services offered, very important in the type of specialised projects we would normally be involved with. Overall, the Quality Management System has proven invaluable by being a catalyst for improving our procedures, necessary in an industry constantly subjected to the changing variables of client needs, workforce, materials, legislation etc..
Note that the reference to the ‘Quality Assurance System’ and’ Quality Management System’ are occasionally interchangeable, as the principles of all management systems are so closely linked. Regardless of the current trend for headings, what matters is that we manage all processes as part of the bigger picture!
Importantly, our QA system complies with Australian Standard 9001.
D.G. Sundin & Co. is also an accredited contractor within the ‘Pre-Qualification’ and 'Best Practice ' schemes, established by the NSW Dept. of Commerce and which requires compliance with their quality management guidelines. We are proud of this recognition, which has been achieved through proven planning, procedures, training, record keeping, and a 'hands on' approach with personnel to confirm our commitment and understanding of quality in the workplace.
We are committed to providing client satisfaction by meeting our clients' requirements with ‘fit for purpose’ products and services. Our considerable experience tells us that these requirements may not necessarily always be stated in the contract documents, but may become apparent after early consultation to determine the expected and often intangible but nonetheless desired outcomes. It is only then that by regularly monitoring progressive levels of client satisfaction that we can truly identify where even the most minor improvements to our processes can be made and be of subsequent benefit to both us and our client. Our ability to manage and record in-process inspections (during the works) provides our clients with the added reassurance that our projects are being capably supervised.
D.G. Sundin & Co. specifically implements the QA component of the QMS to identify and manage the multitude of 'diversely linked processes' that creates one completed product. These 'diversely linked processes' include our performance and that of our client, suppliers, and often the performance of groups or individuals with which we have no contractual arrangement. Such competent management can be attributed to our team's focus on managing processes effectively and in a way that yields results.
